Is it Friday yet?

I have been having one busy week, but it's still going by so slow. Kaitlin's first six weeks of school ends tomorrow, so I've been helping her with book reports, and extra credit homework that had to be in by today. Lastnight we made a volcano out of modeling clay that took about 2 hours, and she erupted it today with baking soda, vinegar, and red food coloring. She earned 100 extra credit points! YAY! She's doing so well in school this year, and I'm trying to make sure she keeps a positive attitude so she will continue to excel in the 4th grade!

Work has been crazy, but today was a little slower than usual....it was a much needed break! I'm taking an online class for Medical Insurance Coder that is paid for by my work through their "further your education" program. It's done at your own pace, but I've been slacking for the last couple of months, so I've been making myself study, and I've finished the last 3 Study Units as of tonight. I actually made a 100 on my test tonight....so go me! Now I only have 26 more tests to finish the course. *waaaah*

Now I'm going to relax for a change and catch up on some fic! I need to get a head start on Round 6 of the Love's Last Glimpse Awards, and I'm already 6 stories behind in the categories I'm judging.

I think we're all having a crazy, busy week, and I am soooo looking forward to the weekend. Yes, the volcano cake was a bust because we couldn't keep the dry ice long enough to do it....we got some dry ice on Friday night last week and it had evaporated by Saturday morning. Go figure!

Ooh, yay for Kaitlin!!! And oh yeah, i remember doing that very same experiment. Good knowing that the old standbys are still...erm, standbys.

Hey hon!

You got to make a volcano too?? We never did anything fun in school. Hee! We were going to make this really cool cake volcano that erupts with dry ice and evaporated milk mixed with red food coloring, but we couldn't keep the dry ice more than a day...stooopid stuff kept evaporating.

And I did take some time to relax, and plan on doing some more of that this weekend. I hope you have a nice relaxing weekend too!
