Yesterday on my way home from work, Kaitlin called and said she was outside on the deck, because the toaster oven was on fire, with flames shooting out, and Mike had to use the fire extenguisher (that is 11yrs old and never been opened) to put the fire out. Thank goodness it worked, and all I have to do is get a new toaster oven. *wheew*

Also, I've decided I am too young to be tired all of the time, stiff and achey, and just all together blah, so I'm going to make some changes, and stick to them this time, really I am...

Change,change,changes

1. Eat at least 2 healthy meals a day
2. Yoga for 30 minutes at least 5 times per week
3. Walking around the block 3 times (1 mile) or
for at least 15 min, 3 times a week during
my lunch break.
4. Take a multi-vitamin everyday
5. Pick a time each night and everyone (not just
me) helps straighten up the house, and keep
up on the laundry during the week, so my
weekends are free for other things.

I know I will think of more things I need or would like to change, but I'm starting small. :P

Change can be good! Sounds like it's a good plan. I know I don't eat right, either. Starting small is good. It's the little things that make up the big things. :P

I think if I can stick to five changes for at least a month, then I can add to them once I have more energy and feel better. We eat out, or fix something fast most nights, and that has got to change, at least for moi. :P

Go you on the change. It's hard (you should have seen me today trying to work up the ommmph to make a salad for lunch) but there is a payoff at the end.

And stick to your guns on 5. This one is a killer for me.

I had salad for lunch today, and I walked 12 blocks in about 18min, so I feel pretty good since I'm on the right track.

Also, I agree #5 will be the hardest one of all. We have tried this several times and it never lasts long, but I'm hoping everyone will agree to make an effort on picking up their things, and giving mom a break. *crosses fingers*

Omg! I'm so glad that the toaster oven fire didn't get out of hand.

Your list sounds sensible to me. I started taking a multi-vitamin everyday about a month ago, so hopefully it will help give both of us more pep. The eating right thing is a biggie. I was doing so much better before I got on this medication...but now - I want all the bad stuff. *sigh* I wish you luck, power and success in meeting your self-improvment goals!

Btw, I had the goofiest dream last night, and you were in it! I can't wait to tell you about it! Hee! Are you planning on calling me when you get home from work? or do you want me to call you?

I can't wait to hear all about your dream, and my dream-self. Hee! Was I touring houses in search of the perfect place to put a litter box? Bwahaaa!
