I'm home

I had a fantabulous weekend with angstchic, eyesthatslay, and rikki_oko!! They are so cute and funny, and I miss you heifers already. :(

Friday night Mike and I met up with angstchic and her hubby, and eyesthatslay, and after many hugs and squeals, we went out to dinner. Then we went back to the hotel and talked, laughed, squeeeed, snorted, and waited on rikki_oko and her hubby to arrive. When she called to let us know she was there...we ran down to the lobby and squooooshed her...I think we scared her hubby just a little, not to mention the hotel desk clerk. Hee! I think we stayed up until around 2am, and made plans for breakfast the next day.

Saturday, the girls along with me and my hubby had breakfast at Cracker Barrel, and then dropped Mike back at the hotel and we left for a girls day out!! First we went to The Mary Todd Lincoln house and took the tour. It was cool, and interesting, and very educational. Hee! Although, the girl who greeted us at the door was a wee bit scary, not to mention overly perky. Luckily she wasn't our guide...I don't think we would have been able to resist the snorting if that would have happened. *bwhahaaa* Next, we went to the Hamburg Pavillion which is a HUGE mall, and we went shopping! YAY! Wakiness ensued at Target which actually started in the parking lot where we saw a girl dressed in a shiny, floor length, backless evening gown (at 1pm in the afternoon) and black flip flops, but that's okay because rikki_oko is going to wear her wedding dress and "bad kitty" flip flops the next time she has to make a quick trip to Target. *snert*

After shopping, we rounded up the men folk and headed out to dinner. We had a yummy dinner and the chickas decided to just hang out in eyesthatslay's room, where we watched Spuffy vids on my laptop, then Fool For Love and Intervention on the season 5 DVD that she bought that day, and giggled, bounced, and clapped like we were at the movies! It was soooo much fun watching Buffy eppies together!

This morning the hubby and I got up to see everyone off, since we were going to be the last to leave. It was sad...with lots more hugs! We were brave and held back the tears, but I'm missing being able to just knock on the door and knowing my bestest girls are right down the hall. *sniff* sniff*

I'm tired, but so happy we were able to get together for the weekend. I hope everyone is having a safe trip home, and I can't wait until we can do it again!! *smooch*

And just a little note for everyone on my F-list who is in Florida...my thoughts and prayers are with you. I pray that you are safe and out of harms way. *hugs*

Thanks girl! We really did have a wonderful time and I just wish it could've lasted longer!

Our hubbies know it's all in good fun, and mine actually loves to meet my online friends and doesn't mind my constant squeeeing about Spike/James. He really doesn't have a choice. Hee!

I saw where you updated your WIP, and I will be over shortly to read and review. I'm too tired to comprehend much right now. :)

I'm home safe and sound, and after greeting my hubby and baby dogs, have been predictably obsessive, and gotten everything unpacked and put away. :) I've popped a Zyrtek, and I'm sure I'll be zonked out before long! Hee!

I had such a great time, and I can't wait until we can do it again. Heifer-palooza is the bestest! I'm missing you already too sweetie, and I'll probably be calling you this coming weekend to touch base. Tell Mike I got a kick out of meeting him and his microtrim! :D *hugs and face smooshies*

Yes, they were glad to have me home. :D I had a nice surprise from my Hubby too! He had an awning installed over the baby dog's deck in front! It's so cute. Hee!

I'm glad that Mike got a kick out of me too. :D He is such a good sport! I look forward to chatting with you this weekend. Get some rest, and I hope work isn't too awful for you this week.

Eeeee! It was so much fun! And, I considered wearing my wedding dress to get cough medicine today, but my kitty flip-flops were still in the bag, so I opted for jeans instead. Maybe next time. ;)

So, I'm making the rounds, reading allll the Heifer-Palooza reports and I have to say two things.

First, I am so happy to hear you gals had such a great time.

Second, don't you wear your formalwear to Target? I don't let a shopping trip go by without slapping on an old bridesmaid dress and picking up some health and beauty aids at the old Target. Huh. But the flip flops? That's just weird.

Hee. Really, I'm glad it was a fun weekend for all! :)

I never knew dressing up in formal wear was such a big hit at all the major shopping centers, I guess I've been out of the loop. Hee!
