Is it Friday yet???

Gah! This has been a very long week and it's only Wednesday. My work has been very busy as is usual for the first part of the month, and Mike has been working out of town Monday-Saturday for the last 2weeks so I have to do all the running. I'm plum tuckered! :) I'm off half a day on Friday and looking soooo forward to some well earned r&r!

Kaitlin bought Twilight the movie and we loved it! So much that I bought all the books...loving the books as well. Even Kaitlin has been reading them which is kinda freaking me out. LOL! My child has never enjoyed reading anything and we've always had to make her read for school, now she sits for hours at a time. Shocking really! Maybe vampires are her new thing now...Like mother like daughter. Hee!

Off to check out the Twitter thang...since all the kewl kids are doing it!

Vampires are for sure Ashlyn's thing. It's hard to get her to read something that doesn't have vampires in it!! I guess it's like mother like daughter here too! LOL

It's funny how Ash got hooked on Twilight. We were at Borders and the kid could NOT decide on a book. I picked up Twilight, read the back cover, handed it to her and said, "Here, I'm sure you'll love it!" She read it all in that one night and had to have New Moon the next weekend. It killed the poor kid to wait for Eclipse and Breaking Dawn to come out. She did, however, get me hooked on the books as well...along with Stephenie Meyer's other book, The Host (which I LOVE even more than the Twilight books).

We liked the movie, but after the books I was a bit let down by the movie. Although, I am not a Kristen Stewart fan and thought she appeared pretty stoned through the movie. I remember leaning over to Ashlyn and going, "Is everyone here very stoned?"

Ash is the opposite of Kaitlin I guess. Ashlyn will read huge books in a day or two and then BEG to go to Borders to buy more. The good thing is, I end up loving the books she reads so we both get use of them.

I'm so glad she's interested in something I like too! We've had a lot of fun lately! I just hope her enthusiasm in reading sticks...my luck once she's finished the 4th book that will be it. Hee!
